This three-day course consists of classroom and range instruction. Training focuses on the basic fundamentals of weapon handling and mechanics of marksmanship with a pistol and shotgun. This course is not about tactics, but instead is about skill with the firearm. Your skill at shooting drives your tactics, and the ability to make a shot with precision, rapidly, and under pressure, is of paramount importance.  Topics covered include safe tactics, fundamentals review, manipulations, administrative loading/unloading, empty reloads, malfunction reduction, immediate action, remedial action, target transitions, threat transitions, multiple threat engagements, muzzle discipline, threat discrimination, shoot/no shoot, ground work, and static movement.
